Stone Suite, Il Casone ad Expocasa con Mile Stone

concept firmato da Andrea Castrignano

expo_torino

Interior Mebel, Il Casone to Kiev

"Italian Garden Mock-Up – From classic to modern" stand

kiev

Interior-Mebel is an international fair dedicated to furniture, lighting and interior design, taking place in Kiev at the same time as the Building fair.
Within this framework, Marsiglilab (Bologna) has developed a stand that celebrates the excellence of “Made in Italy” outdoor design.
ITALIAN GARDEN MOCK-UP – From classic to modern is the name given to this space, which simulates a garden laid out with themed rooms, subdivided by green walls and furnished with the cooperation of prestigious Italian brands. It aims to represent various shades of green in synergy with architectural materials, restoring the idea of the garden as a synonym of wellbeing, both from a perceptual and pleasurable point of view.
With this in mind, the project uses a combination of different materials: stone, gravel and grass, synthesising the planning and procedures used to bring a modern Italian garden to fruition through this mock-up of green areas.

In this context, Il Casone Pietra Serena was chosen for the flooring in the “rooms” (size 76x76 cm, thickness 2 cm, sandblasted finish) and passages (size 40x120 cm, thickness 4 cm, sandblasted finish) as an example of Italian material par excellence, known all over the world for its use in Renaissance architecture and in modern applications.

A double header for IL CASONE at the Rimini outdoor fair

Il Casone will be present at the event in Rimini dedicated to outdoor design solutions on two occasions. As part of the design laboratory "Da Nido a Guscio", designed by SUN in collaboration with Ottagono, Il Casone will present the ZOT project, developed by the architect Pierluigi Molteni for the Piazza della Repubblica in Tresigallo (FE), as an applied example of the use of Pietra Serena in an urban environment. From the single block of stone, a range of shapes are born, whose configurations form a virtually continuous belt, capable of making up a series of situations which accommodate urban action. The project will be exhibited at the "Designers, Companies and Cities: Stone for Urban Furniture" shows (stall D1)

In the "Paysage" space, dedicated to the prestigious magazine, the reference point for landscape and 'green' architects, (Stall D3 Stand 141-186 Lanes 4 and 5) IL CASONE will design a part of the flooring in Pietra Serena (76 x 76 cm with a polished finish) connoting a surface of around 60 metres squared, which hosts design studios and companies in the sector. In this framework, which accommodates architects, designers and visitors, conferences and meetings on the subject will be held there too. Amongst these, there will be a meeting on the 21st October, "Outdoor. Material, Simplicity, Respect" where Johann Bauer will demonstrate his own experience in the realm of outdoor space creation.

From nest to shell. Designers, companies and cities

news SUN

Il Casone is among the protagonists of the From nest to shell event, which examines stone urban furniture and involves designers, businesses and local authorities. Locating a space within each city, the objective is to investigate the relationship between new planning design and an existing context of particular historical or artistic interest. The Zot project, carried out by Il Casone, has been fine-tuned by architect Pierluigi Molteni for Piazza della Repubblica in Tresigallo (in the province of Ferrara). The idea for this piazza, which is large and not very appealing for socializing, uses a project that visualizes both the space and its use, making it livable - an initiative which, first and foremost, creates various 'spots': places to take a break, wait or meet someone, and it is an initiative that could spill out into the neighboring streets and urban parks. From a single stone block, a limited range of combinations that are exhaustive in terms of shapes is extracted and the combination of these shapes makes up a potentially continuous ribbon, able to create a series of situations to host urban to-ings and fro-ings. The furnishings in burnished steel open up new possibilities for its use. The almost cement-like materiality of the Pietra Serena is combined with paving materials and takes away the ‘monument’ element from the stone, emphasizing its 'service' role.

Abitami 2011

New solutions for outdoor, between research end sperimentation

"Abitami" 2011: a new exhibition concept that was created to give space to the excellence of product design, architecture and interior design, a mix of experimentation and research, craft and industrial know-how.
In this setting, where functionality and innovation, tradition and modernity meet together, Il Casone will be present in two pavilions.
Pavilion 15 is devoted to "research exhibitions", inside the exhibition "Una stanza tutta per sé", the company is presenting the "Citizen" seating system. Designed by Luca Scacchetti in synergy with the company, "Citizen" is not a simple bench, but a seating system, lights, disposable paper, bike racks, planters, gate information, fountains that is continuous for aggregations of slabs of Pietra Extraforte Il Casone. The stone is declined in its various finishes and so it creates a kaleidoscope of forms, functions and endless gray, for a new and contemporary use of our public spaces, where it counts the functionality, but also aesthetic has big relevance.

Inside "outdoor area", set in pavilion 13, in the striking space designed by Frassinagodiciotto, Il Casone has its exhibition dedicated to stone. In a stand of 40 square meters, paved with slabs of polished Pietra Serena (size 76x76 cm), it will be possible to deepen the knowledge of the different applications of this material, such as Pietra Serena textures series "Shades" signed by the designer Raffaello Galiotto in collaboration with Lithos Design or as a collection of outdoor furniture made of Pietra Serena series "Litodiversità" designed by Uainot Architects.
