La Rinascente

Superfici in pietra in uno dei luoghi più simbolici di Firenze, un'elegante basilica del gusto.

Nella stessa piazza della Basilica di Santa Croce, il ristorante Finisterrae è, in maniera diversa ma parallela, un elogio dell’italianità e dell’arte. L’armonia dei suoi interni è disegnata dall’uso sapiente dei materiali lapidei, quali la pietra forte fiorentina, il giallo avorio e il rovere scuro. Il gioco tra orizzontalità e verticalità è accentuato dal rivestimento delle pareti, costituito da lastre in giallo avorio con finitura superficiale seta

La Rinascente

A stone niche acts as a backdrop to a space imbued with the characteristics of industrial production.
Inside La Rinascente, in the Milanese space which hosts the best of international design objects for the home, IL CASONE stone frames the main exhibition. The ochre hues of the stone material makes it stand out from the whiteness of the shelves. An integrated lighting system underscores the curves and chiaroscuro tones of the stone.

In the last of the foothills of Montalbano, between Florence and Pistoia, on a small hill surrounded by greenery, stands Ambra, the Medici Villa of Poggio a Caiano. It is the prototype of a rural Florentine residence, commissioned by Lorenzo de Medici and designed by Giuliano da Sangallo.

Switzerland is one of the European countries where international style has managed to penetrate even the layman's soul, and majorly so, especially in their modernist acceptance of concrete, which is expressed through the most significant ways possible. With its physical and chemical composition (despite the fact that it is created by a natural process lasting several millennia), sandstone is by far the closest cave stone to concrete - being made of a mixture of sand that becomes stone when calcification binds it together.
