Galleria Mazzini in Genova

Urban requalification

Among the various types of public urban spaces that exist, one may find a covered walkway, which anticipates areas of contemporary commercial centers. In Italy, there are important examples inspired by Parisian passages that hark from the bourgeois of the 1800s and among these is the shopping arcade, the Galleria Mazzini, which recalls the example of the Vittorio Emanuele II shopping arcade in Milano, created shortly before the Mazzini.

Studio Farini a Pianoro

An architect who appreciates simple, yet noble materials of our traditions; a peaceful oasis in the Bolognese countryside; an old farmhouse which has magically found a strong, new, identity; located at the base of a valley a magnificent vineyard, where the rustic countryside meets a small town, Giorgio Farini has transformed what was a simple rustic warehouse into his studio.

Piazza Partigiani in Alassio

Urban requalification

Plastic Bowl

The sandstone of IL CASONE at winter edition of
“Plastic Bowl” is the name of winter edition of “Frassinago18”, a meeting point for design creativity which provides a glimpse of the new and innovative materials being used in design and furnishing insideout.
Three circular spaces enclose, with an opalescent veil, warm enveloping environments enhanced with sitting areas, illuminated objects, curtains and rugs. A magical sandstone entryway guides visitors to discover what is hidden behind the molded casings, which filter light and colors of violet as well as the natural tones of light and stone.

The passage of time and season at “Frassinago18” is completed by two live oak trees which stand stark and nude in this small reality.
The various perspectives, each diverse, are produced from the meeting of different materials and volumes, injecting life into this softened environment. This is the atmosphere in which IL CASONE, with his sandstone, becomes a protagonist in this suggestive path. Using the sandstone IL CASONE accompanies the visitor to discover the colors and tones of these spaces and objects of design with the essence of his materials.
