Slightly rippled, this texture is smooth to the touch. The surface area is undulating, almost crumpled, but extremely clean, and smooth in the weave. After the rough hewing and bush hammering (with nozzles), the slabs are finally brushed and it is the latter treatment that gives the stone the “naturally” wavy texture, reminiscent of cotton.
