Studio Farini
Giorgio Farini has transformed a simple rustic warehouse into his current residence and studio, which has found a new identity. Like in many others, in this project Farini made stone, wood and iron the critical elements for the construction. The desire to conserve the placement of the external walls worked hand in hand with the desire to modify the experience between the external and internal, which resulted in the choice to transform one of the principal external walls to a completely transparent one. The relationship with nature becomes strict: no filter of any kind interrupt the continuity between the inside and the outside. All the rest is stone and aluminum. The metallic profiles meet the transparent surfaces with irregular forms that enhance the minimalism. Pietra Serena, made darker in order to accentuate the contrast with the glass, profiles the building, giving a strong sense of the material.
